Extreme Weight Loss Methods For Events

You can use extreme weight loss methods to shed the bulk hanging from your waist, hips and chin to look smarter and prettier. The loss of weight is a gradual process which requires consistency. Some people are too desperate and impatient to lose weight, hence they seek short cuts. Extreme weight loss methods are meant for such people. These people are usually keener to lose weight for special occasions such as weddings, parties, prom nights and dates.

The most popular form of losing weight on a short notice is starvation, which is employed by some of the most famous fashion models and celebrities. Dieters can be more interested in finding the easier way of shedding their calories rather progressing slowly with the traditional method of eating healthily and exercising regularly.

Hair Styles for Plus Size Women

Anyone who wears clothes size 12w to 44ww falls into the plus size category.

The properly designed style compliments the face shape. It flatters the individual's size, the skin tone, and the eye color. The perfect style will emphasize the most beautiful features while minimizing the weak facial features. It will make the strongest features pop and be noticed next after the hair.

A complimentary style can update an entire wardrobe. A new beautiful style may be worn with an old dress and the dress will look brand new. Or, vice versa, an uncomplimentary style will make any dress look bad. The point is, the hair is noticed first and either compliments the woman size or does not compliment .

My Experience With Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans

It can be difficult for full-figured women like me (5' 6" and 300+ pounds) to find jeans that fit, flatter our shape, and don't break our budgets.

Back in the day (and by that I mean even as recently as 20 years ago) there weren't very many designers catering to full-figured women, and there were even fewer designers producing jeans for plus-size women.

Since I had a limited budget for everything including clothing, I normally shopped the cheap racks for jeans. As long as it fit, didn't cut off my circulation at the waistband and in the thighs, and didn't drag on the ground (I've got short legs) I was happy, but I was even happier if I could get away with spending $10.00-$25.00 on a pair of jeans.

The Lament of the Plus-Size Corporate Woman - Why Can't I Find a Suit That Fits?

Have you ever wondered why you can't figure out what size you wear? This is certainly a very hot topic of conversation (and consternation!) with my daily clients and on my fashion and wardrobe blog.

Sadly, the answer is actually fairly simple...it's because there is little or no size standardization in the clothing industry. That problem is compounded by the fact that as clothes are sized up into plus sizes, construction issues become more complex because the fit becomes more complex. As a garment is sized up, each and every figure issue or anomaly becomes exponentially more challenging to the construction of a garment. When the fit of one aspect of a garment is changed, it effects all aspects of the garment. The larger the change, the greater the effect.

So as designers and manufacturers are faced with a less-than-healthy economy, how can they cut costs?

Special Underwear for Incontinence Problems

Incontinence is such a difficult condition to go through. People who have this condition will need to go through the pains and the embarrassment brought about by the condition of incontinence. When one is having this, they will not be able to control their urge to pee. And without proper protection, these people will be peeing with their underpants on. This can be very embarrassing especially if they are in a public place. Some people would not be able to understand this situation and may take it as a joke. But for those who are going through this condition, they would definitely want to find a solution to their problem.

It is a good thing that there are now lots of products designed for those who are going through this condition. People can buy adult diapers, bed pads and lots of other products that can help them be somehow eased from the embarrassment brought by the condition. Another great product for people in this condition is the special underwear that they can make use of especially when they need to go out of their homes. With this, they can now stroll and roam around without worrying of uncontrollable peeing. This underwear is specialized in absorbing to avoid embarrassments.

How to Look Your Best in Plus Size Clothing

Plus size clothing is no longer shapeless baggy clothes. Today plus size women have a wide variety of styles to choose from. Designers are finally getting the idea that plus size women have money to spend, and are willing to spend it on well fitting, in style clothing. More plus sizes are showing up in high end stores, online, and on the runway. More and more designers of straight size clothing are now tapping into the huge market for plus size clothing. You want to look your best in your clothes, but if you're used to purchasing pieces that are too big and hang off of you, you might need a few pointers to help you look your best in your plus size pieces.

Wear plus size clothing that fits. Many plus size women make the mistake of wearing clothing that is too large thinking it makes them look smaller. In fact wearing clothing which is too large makes you look bigger. Try to find clothing that is not too loose, but not so tight you feel constricted.

The Plus Size Industry

Nowadays, fashion designers start to take notice of the potential for plus size clothing to make money and at the same time showcase their talents in making gorgeous apparels for the larger population. Since PLUS size fashion pertains to the full figures, using plus size models for advertising campaigns and in catwalks makes it more appealing to the target population.

Actually, plus size models were used in campaigning for plus size fashion as early as 1940's but there was a bias against the bigger people and plus size modeling were kept out of the public's eye by the fashion industry until the early 90s as fashion in those times were focused on the "ideal body" shape which was the petite and skinny figure.

As per history, the trading began in the early 1920s for garments and by the middle of the 20s, clothing were sold under the category "For the Stout Women" by Lane Bryant. These garments had a bust line that ranged between 38 - 56 inches.

How to Choose a Right Dress for Yourself?

When you plan to go out, a big question comes to your mind, "What to wear?" Choosing clothes for a particular occasion is a very confusing task and this becomes more difficult if you are of plus size. But now this worry seems to be a thing of past.

Earlier, plus-sized women used to find it difficult to get a perfect dress for any occasion. They had limited options available in the market. But things have changed now. They have plenty of options available now and there seems to be no limitations for plus size clothing.

Here are some tips to make sure that you select the right dress for you.

Plus Size Dresses - Patterns, Pleats, and Color Blocking Oh My!

Plus size dresses have gone through a revolution in styling in the past few years. No longer big baggy colorless frocks, today's plus size dresses are stylish, colorful and full of style. Several new styles and details are showing up on runways this season. Bright bold patterns, creative use of pleats, and the biggest trend this season is color blocking. It might seem overwhelming with all of the choices you have for dresses this season, but with a bit of guidance you can look great not only this season, but all year around.

Patterns

As a plus size diva you have the benefit of being able to wear this season's larger prints. This season opt for bright bold prints with Indian, African, and Mediterranean influences. The ethnic look is very popular right now and there are several plus size dresses available that take advantage of this trend. One of the prettiest looks is a solid shift under a softly printed sheer dress.

What Is a Plus Size and Why Can't the Fashion Industry Deal With It Properly?

This is an area under debate at the moment and some people are clearly struggling with it. They know that plus size is popular and is a hot topic for discussion and they wish to participate and comment on the plus size market. But what is "Plus Size", what does it mean and how do we view it?

The words "Plus Size" are used to refer to clothing for larger people, there is a wide area of debate around what is considered to be large, where does it start? Size, 10, 12, 14 or 16?. The debate then also becomes associated with health issues as many people consider that larger people are automatically unhealthy (this is untrue). The Fashion Industry is totally focused on how people look and larger people do not figure on mainstream fashion's radar. This is regrettable as a lot of people are larger than the models generally used by the fashion industry (they are then expected to buy clothes modeled on thinner women). It is interesting that the fashion industry is associated with thinness which itself can also give rise to health issues.
